Yeti BUZZ / SB95s now in stock at GBS!

GBS’s long awaited for Yeti SB95s finally arrived – we made a trip over to pick them up on on Wednesday

Bo pulled it together and was able to smooth talk one of our SB95 frames in the van

Mike Ferrentino of Santa Cruz Bicycles walks us through the new Tallboy LT carbon from Dirt Rag Magazine on Vimeo.

Despite the April 1 release date I can assure you that the rumors that have been circulating for months are very true. Santa Cruz is building on the success of the carbon and aluminum Tallboys by introducing two longer travel versions, dubbed the Tallboy LT and Tallboy LTc.

Free MTB Demo this Sunday March 25 at GBS

Come down to Golden Bike Shop this Sunday March 25 for a free MTB demo 10am-6pm.

We will be sending out bikes from our own demo fleet plus we will have additional bikes from Niner and Foundry Cycles

The demo is free, but we do require a Credit Card deposit and current ID such as a Driver’s License or Passport.  Please bring your helmet and pedals if you have them.

Niner Jet9 Review / Update by Mike Berg

I thought I would do a quick post about my thoughts on the RDO since I’ve been riding it a few months and have done several races on it, plus I finally got my hands on the SID XX World Cup fork.

First the SID XX WC, awesome! I’ll get a couple of questions answered right off the bat.

Weight: After cutting the steerer tube and comparing the weight with the Reba XX; SID XX WC 3.07 lbs w/15mm Axle – Reba XX 4.02 lbs. So, basically 1 lbs lighter.

Stiffness: Keep in mind that I’m only about 140 lbs and although I could feel occasional flex with the Reba it never was an issue for me. I haven’t had the chance to ride the SID on all the trails that I could feel a little twist in the Reba, but there does seem to be a feeling of much more stiffness. I have yet to feel the front wheel twist in rocky stuff.
