The Fatty Fork is a beautiful thing. You would not believe the amount of garbled trail these things can eat up. From smooth pump track burms and pavement to gnarled baby heads the Fat Forks keep their composure and hold an amazing line. Running a 65-100mm rim and a 3.8-4.5″ tire puts out an amazing amount of float and traction. You can run all the way down to 5psi for super traction in the snow, 8psi for agro trail riding or up to 30psi for an amazingly smooth roll on the road.
A Fat Fork would make a nice upgrade to your hardtail 29er. Give a little float in the snow and slush and a little dampening on the rocky descents. Give us a ring, we love to ta talk about this stuff… i.e. Ruda
There are two different crown to axle lengths for Fatbikes. 447mm and 468mm. Surly Moonlanders, Surly Pugsley, Surly Necromamcer are spec’d with the 447 mm forks. Salsa Mukkluks are equipped with the 468mm and the 9:zero:7′s are spec’d with either. The big deal is front end height and weight distribution.
