Rolling Darryl is a whopping 82mm wide welded seam single wall rim. When used with a superfat tire run at low pressure, Rolling Darryl produces a big footprint that provides amazing traction and floatation. This means you can go places you couldn’t before, such as many kinds of mud, sand and snow.
This rim has an unusual 64 hole dual spoke hole pattern. Lace 32 holes asymmetrically for use with Pugsley and other offset frames. Lace 32-holes symmetrically for use with non-offset frames. Single wall construction keeps its weight respectable, even lower than Large Marge. We offer a version with weight-saving cutouts and another without the cutouts.
Note that a rim this wide requires a frame and fork designed for rims (and tires) of this size, such as ourPugsley. Big fat rims and tires simply will not fit in ‘normal’ frames.
